You have your mixing bowl, cookie sheet, cookie scoop, measuring utensils, and hungry tummy all ready to bake delicious keto chocolate chip cookies. Now, all you need is the recipe!

This recipe makes 12 delicious keto chocolate chip cookies (so don’t be afraid to double it for the whole family to enjoy).

You’ll need:

  • 2 cups Almond Flour
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Flour
  • ¼ tsp Xanthan Gum
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Coconut Oil or Non-Dairy Unsalted or Salted Butter, Melted
  • ½ cup keto No Added Sugar Maple Flavored Syrup
  • 2 “Flax Eggs” (1 tbsp Flaxseed Meal combined with 3 tbsp of Water, set for 5 minutes)
  • 1 tsp Keto-Friendly Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup (or more, we won’t judge!) keto-friendly Dark Chocolate Baking Chips

Together, these make gluten-free chocolate chip cookies with low total carbs — and high deliciousness.


1. First, preheat your oven to 350° Fahrenheit and cover a cookie tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Combine two tablespoons of flaxseed meal with six tablespoons of water in a small bowl and set aside.
    2. In a large bowl, sift your almond flour, coconut flour, xanthan gum, baking powder, and salt together until the consistency is uniform. 

      Make a well in the center of your dry ingredients and add your wet ingredients to the mix — we’re talking melted coconut oil or unsalted butter, No Added Sugar Maple Syrup, large eggs, and vanilla extract. Then add the flax eggs that we set aside earlier! Stir your ingredients until just combined.

      3. Add your ½ cup of keto chocolate chips, with a few extra handfuls for good measure. Mix everything until it forms a cookie dough, making sure everything is well incorporated.

      Roll your keto chocolate chip cookie dough into balls measuring about two tablespoons in diameter (although we will cheer you on if you want fewer, bigger cookies). Place your cookie dough balls on your lined cookie sheet, approximately two inches apart.

      4. Flatten the cookie dough balls slightly, but not so much that cracks form! We need to flatten these cookies because they won’t expand much in the oven. Bake in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on how chewy you like your cookies.

      Out of the Oven (And Into Your Tummy)

      Once your keto chocolate chip cookies are done in the oven, let them cool on your baking sheet for about twenty minutes. We know gazing at fresh-out-of-the-oven cookies is tempting, but trust us; it’s worth letting them cool for a bit so they get delightfully crispy. 

      Cooling your cookies to room temperature also helps the integrity of the cookie stay intact and makes them easy to eat! Enjoy these melty, buttery keto chocolate chip cookies with a glass of non-dairy milk. Our tummies are grumbling just thinking about these beauties.
